The Royal Łazienki is a harmonious combination of 18th-century classicist architecture with the rich, natural surroundings of historic gardens. They are inextricably linked to King Stanisław August – a politician, reformer, philosopher in the crown, an outstanding patron and collector of art. This place, with such pearls of European architecture as the Palace on the Isle or the Royal Theatre in the Old Orangery, will forever remain a symbol of his bold attempt to transform the Republic into a modern state.
Today, Łazienki Królewskie is called the "happiest place in Warsaw", where you can not only relax observing nature, but also deepen your knowledge of Enlightenment ideas, among others, thanks to meetings with outstanding philosophers and art historians. Contact with high European culture is provided to guests of the royal residence by numerous cultural and educational events. Without a doubt, among the most famous are the traditional piano concerts, which take place every Sunday from May to the end of September in front of the Fryderyk Chopin monument.
The Royal Łazienki are open every day to guests from all over the world, who can admire the painting galleries and sculptures in the palace interiors and gardens. It should not be forgotten that the former royal residence is also one of the most important representative places in the capital of Poland, visited by outstanding representatives of politics, science and art, as well as crowned heads.
