8th European Congress of Mammalogy
Conference ECM8 took place on the following days: September 23-27 on Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw. The conference participants were scientists from the field of mammal biology, the topics discussed at the congress were issues from such disciplines as: population biology, conservation biology, ecology, genetics, evolution, phylogeography, ecophysiology. The congress, whose previous editions were held in Lisbon (1991), Southampton (1995), Jyväskylä (1999), Brno (2003), Siena (2007), Paris (2011) and Stockholm (2015), this year reached Warsaw and hosted 500 participants from all over Europe, as well as from non-European countries. The calm and friendly atmosphere of these congresses is an excellent opportunity to hear about the latest achievements in various fields of mammalology, to share experience and research knowledge and to develop new contacts.
Warsaw Convention Bureau provided a promotional stand with information about the city. The event is organized by the company Convention Plus, member of the Warsaw Tourist Organization. Action carried out as part of the Warsaw Congress Ambassador Club.
