Angela Saliba has been appointed General Manager of the Sheraton Hotel in Warsaw
Angela is a passionate and dedicated hotelier with 27 years of industry experience. She began her hospitality career in Malta where she was involved in various roles within the Rooms Division before joining the opening team of the Westin Dragonara Resort, the first Westin hotel to open outside the United States in 1997. During her tenure at the Westin in Malta, Angela held a variety of roles including Executive Housekeeper, later rising to the position of Director of Six Sigma. During this time she was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Malta Tourism Authority. She was then promoted to the position of Director of Le Meridien St. Julians Hotel & Spa, Malta’s premier Spa Hotel, in June 2007, joining the team within the first year of opening. In 2011, she was appointed as Complex Hotel Manager at the renowned luxury resort of Costa Navarino in Greece, comprising the Westin Costa Navarino and The Romanos, Luxury Collection Resort.
Since October 2013, Angela has managed the Sheraton Krakow Hotel in Poland, the leading and most recognizable hotel in Krakow. In 2016, the hotel became the first Sheraton hotel in Poland to receive the Sheraton Grand status, becoming the Sheraton Grand Krakow, offering a renovated product, excellent location and exceptional service. In 2014-2016, Angela was a member of the Sheraton GM Advisory Board for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. During the Marriott General Managers Conference in April 2017, Angela was recognized as the General Manager of the Year, the main brands for the European continent.
Angela’s commitment remains invaluable as she joins the Sheraton Warsaw team. This is a crucial time for the hotel as it completes a major renovation of its public areas and restaurant. Her vast knowledge of the hospitality industry will serve the team and the hotel well as it becomes an important meeting place on the Warsaw map.
Angela is pleased to continue her career in Poland. She has enthusiastically accepted the move to the capital and is happy to continue her adventure in a country she already knows and where she feels at home.
