Cyprus, Denmark, Italy – Warsaw promotes itself abroad

Meeting with tour operators in Cyprus, March 23, 2017

The Warsaw Tourist Organization took part in the event organized on March 23 in the capital of Cyprus, Nicosia at the invitation of CTT Aviation, the Cypriot representative of PLL LOT. The event was also attended by a representative of the Polish Tourism Organization and three Warsaw travel agencies: Mazurkas Travel, Furnel Travel and Poland Travel. Key tour operators from Cyprus were invited to the meeting. The meeting aimed to promotion of destinations and air connections Warsaw-Larnaca. The event was also graced by the presence of the Polish Ambassador in Nicosia – Ms. Barbara Tuge-Erecińska. For the participants of the meeting, WOT prepared a dedicated presentation on Warsaw, gadgets inspired by the city, the latest publication Warsaw Congress Guide 2017, pendrives with materials in electronic version and a database of contacts to partners in Warsaw (WOT members). As part of Warsaw's participation in this project, a banner campaign was also conducted on the website: www.hermesairports.com

Conference in Billund, March 27, 2017

WOT represented Warsaw at the event organized in the Danish city of Billund on the occasion of the launch new Wizzair Warsaw-Billund connection. Billund Airport is the second largest airport in Denmark. The meeting was attended by: the Polish Ambassador to Denmark, Mrs. Henryka Mościcka-Dendys, the Danish Ambassador to Poland, Mr. Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, representatives of the Danish and Polish media, and representatives of the industry. During the event, the business and tourist potential of the new air connection was discussed in detail, and the presentation of Warsaw also focused on these topics. Among the event participants, we raffled off 3-day hotel stays at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel and Hilton Warsaw Hotel.

BIT Milan, April 2-4, 2017

On the initiative of the tourism industry, Warsaw was present at this year's BIT Milan fair at a joint stand with Holiday Travel, eTravel and JanPol. As part of WOT's participation in the fair, we also organised a press conference "Varsavia - il tuo prossimo city break", where the following people talked about Warsaw: Małgorzata Furdal, Director of ZOPOT Rome and travel photojournalist, author of a guide to Warsaw, Roberto M. Polce. The event was graced by the presence of the Consul of the Republic of Poland in Milan - Ms. Adrianna Siennicka. Among the conference participants, we raffled off three weekend stays in the following hotels: Sheraton Warsaw, Ibis Stare Miasto and Best Western Portos Hotel. The conference was a great success, as evidenced by the very high attendance and interest of invited journalists and tour operators. The Warsaw stand also enjoyed great interest among visitors.
