Warsaw Tourist Organization Competition "Warsaw is Awesome"

The next stage of the Tourist School project, which is intended to create a fashion for traveling around Poland, regions and cities, among children and youth from primary and secondary schools, is a competition organized by the Warsaw Tourist Organization, addressed to students from grades IV-VII of primary schools.

The goal The aim of the competition is to disseminate knowledge about the capital’s tourist attractions among young people in the context of the past, present and future.  

The competition involves preparing a project in one of the following forms:

  • graphic work in the form of drawing, presentation, computer graphics,
  • a diary, chronicle, comic book or other editorial work,
  • film of maximum 2 minutes length.

The main theme of the competition should be: "Warsaw is awesome".

The inspiration for preparing the works is provided by the website www.odkrytajwarszawe.pl/dla-szkol/ which includes, among other things, school trip scenarios inspiring the pedagogical sector from all over Poland to visit Warsaw with school groups. In the presented proposals, we have included the cultural and historical aspect of our city.

The prize for the winning class is a 3-day stay in Warsaw., funded by the Warsaw Tourist Organization, organized in the third or fourth quarter of 2021, or another date resulting from the introduced sanitary restrictions, according to the trip scenario chosen by the class.

We hope that group work on the project and then shared experiences during the school trip will contribute to rebuilding social relationships among young people, which are so needed after a long period of isolation.
