International media echo of "W Hour" in connection with Taylor Swift

Thanks to the intensive activities of the Warsaw Tourism Office, which were also supported through us by WOT members, the coincidence of Taylor Swift's concert with the celebrations of the 80th Anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising was transformed into a spectacular media and promotional success. 

On behalf of Paweł Moras, Director of the Warsaw Tourism Office and Chairman of the WOT Program Council, we encourage you to read the report below from the monitoring of international publications that appeared on the first day after the concert of occasions all over the world. This report shows an absolute record number of publications, mainly thanks to the Associated Press dispatch, which was picked up by publishers all over the world, including those with multi-million reach. Thousands of ticket-holders, many who traveled to Warsaw from afar, were in the area of the stadium early ahead of the evening performance. While some swifties joined the solemn commemoration, their mood was celebratory, as the countdown began to the singer's performance.

The article then describes in detail what this exceptional event in the history of Poland and Warsaw was and why it is celebrated in such an unusual way. Thanks to this, recipients in near and far corners of the world (especially in the USA and Canada, but also in the UK, Israel and even New Zealand) learned about the heroism of the Warsaw Uprising, and the city itself had a chance to exist even more clearly in their consciousness. It is also worth emphasizing that articles with this information are still appearing in international media at this moment.
