The new WOT logo reflects the identity of WOT as an Association that is clearly connected to the city. We were driven by the need to create a sign that our members would also identify with. The new logo was created with the intention of inviting new partners to cooperate, but also to deepen relations with current members of the Association. We also assessed aesthetic values, checked contemporary trends, and looked for patterns in the best times for creators, graphic designers and Warsaw design. We wanted the new sign to be legible and original, as well as typography, the elements of which appear in the city landscape.
We decided to use the letter W as a signet because it is a sign with a very large semantic capacity, strongly associated with everything Warsaw. We referred to the neon style, trying to maintain the lightness and simplicity of the whole. The sign obviously refers to the geography of the city - two areas connected by the Vistula; it is also open, which also indicates the openness of our Association. The turquoise colors of the sign are a combination of colors identifying two of our key areas of activity - "leisure" tourism (light green) and congress tourism (blue).
We hope that the created sign combines all the above-mentioned features. It is a collection of features that define us as an Association, indicates the priorities of our activities, emphasizes the most important element, i.e. the business nature of cooperation of members. It distinguishes the advantages of the city, on which we place great emphasis in communication.
For several years, the Association has used two different logos. One belonged to the entire Association, and the other to the Convention department. From now on, we will operate under one logo.
We hope that the new logo is friendly and will appeal to all current and future partners and friends of the Association.
The new logo was created by graphic designers: Joanna Korczyńska and Maja Kwapień (Malu Studio) and Jarek Zuzga.
