Iron Maiden will perform at PGE Narodowy on Sunday, July 24. Due to the event, entry restrictions to Saska Kępa will be introduced. The most convenient way to get to and from the concert will be by Warsaw Public Transport.
Fans of guitar riffs and the characteristic sharp and heavy sound will reach the stadium fastest by metro and Rapid Urban Rail. The M2 line will arrive at the stations with a frequency of six minutes.
The gates will open at 4:30 p.m. At the same time, entry to Saska Kępa will be restricted. Until 9 p.m., the area limited by the streets: al. Poniatowskiego, al. Waszyngtona, ul. Międzynarodowa, al. Stanów Zjednoczonych and Wał Miedzeszyński, and al. Stanów Zjednoczonych, Wał Miedzeszyński, Afrykańska and Bora-Komorowskiego will be closed to individual traffic. The restrictions will not apply to vehicles of people with SK identifiers, ZTM vehicles, taxis and two-wheeled vehicles.
From 4:30 p.m. until the end of the concert, if it is not possible to travel along Zamoyskiego, Zamość and Sokola streets, buses of the following lines 102, 125 and 202 will go along Targowa and Kijowska streets to the Dw. Wschodni stop. The line will also run along Targowa Street 135, and the buses of the line 146 and 147 they will go along al. Zieleniecka.
If after the concert, at approx. 10:45 p.m., a large group of participants wants to walk to the city centre, the police may decide to close the Poniatowski Bridge and Al. Jerozolimskie from the Washington roundabout to the de Gaulle roundabout.
In the event of the crossing being closed to traffic, Warsaw Public Transport trams and buses will be redirected to detours. Line compositions: 7, 22 and 25 they will go through the Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge, and the lines 9 and 24 on the city centre side, the routes will end at the Starynkiewicza Square loop, while on the Praga side, at Ratuszowa-Zoo. Additionally, a replacement bus line will be launched Z-9 on the route: Zawiszy Square – Jerozolimskie Avenue – Nowy Świat – Ujazdowskie Avenue – Łazienkowska Route – Wał Miedzeszyński – Zwycięzców – Saska – J. Waszyngtona Avenue – Wiatraczna. Buses of the following lines: 111, 117, 158, 166, 507, 521, N22, N24 and N72 they will bypass the closed section of the route via Łazienkowski Bridge.
After the concert, additional buses will be on the route 509. From the Washington roundabout, you will be able to travel towards Winnica and Gocław. There will also be more trams. From the al. Zieleniecka terminus, the line trains 3 will depart for Annopol, and the line 26 towards the Piaski loop. On the changed Gocławek – Ratuszowa-Zoo route, passengers will be transported by trams of the following lines: 9.
