The government's plans to extend the Anti-Crisis Shield
At a press conference on April 7, 2020, Minister Emilewicz announced the government's plans to extend the so-called Anti-Crisis Shield protection package to companies in the small business sector (up to 49 employees). Among the announced changes, which under the amendment to the Covid-19 Act may enter into force - according to the Minister's announcement - before Easter, are to include, among others:
- 50% relief in ZUS contributions
- the possibility of applying for a liquidity loan from BGK not exceeding PLN 250 million
- the possibility of sending employees on compulsory 14-day leave
- extension of the "standstill" benefit to people working under civil law contracts (protection for 3 months)
- The Industrial Development Agency will focus mainly on small enterprises by providing guarantees and loans
- Protection against bailiff enforcement of funds allocated from the Anti-Crisis Shield
The government estimates the value of the additional protection at PLN 11 billion.
