Signing of the agreement establishing the Warsaw and Mazovia Congress Ambassadors Club

A new chapter in the Congress Ambassadors Program – an agreement for a new club was signed and a new Chapter of the AKP Program was elected

On October 29, 2024, the first pioneering agreement was signed in Warsaw to establish a regional-local Club called the Congress Ambassador Club – Warsaw and Mazovia. It was established after the merger of the already existing Club in Warsaw and its regional counterpart, which was being established in the Mazovian Voivodeship. The signatories of the agreement are the organizers of the AKP Program, the Polish Tourism Organization, the Poland Convention Bureau, the Conferences and Congresses in Poland Association, and the Warsaw Tourism Organization, together with
with the convention bureau operating within its structures and the Mazovian Regional Tourist Organisation together with Mazovia CB. So far, they have been established in cities and operate in Poznań, Łódź, Kraków, Wrocław.

– This is another step in strengthening the Ambassadors Program, which has been operating for over 25 years. – said Paula Fanderowska, President of SKKP – Thus, we are effectively and consistently developing a network of Clubs throughout Poland. The Ambassadors Program serves to distinguish people who acquire important and prestigious events for Poland. We know that this potential is dormant in cities and regions, and thanks to the Club it will be possible to reach the initiators of congresses, conferences even more effectively and organize the next ones together.

The agreement was signed by representatives of the individual organizations headed by Aneta Książek (Head of the Poland Convention Bureau POT), Izabela Stelmańska (President of the Masovian Regional Tourist Organization) and Mateusz Czerwiński (President of the Warsaw Tourist Organization).

The marriage of Warsaw and Masovia under the joint management of the local Congress Ambassadors Club is proof of the mature and strategic approach of both offices to supporting the science and business community in acquiring meetings and events for Warsaw and Masovia. – said Aneta Książek, adding – We are also pleased that our invitation to the work of the Chapter of the Polish Congress Ambassadors Program for the years 2024-2027 was accepted by Ms. Izabela Stelmańska, President of the Management Board of the Mazovian Tourism Organization and Mazovia Convention Bureau. Together with the Association of Conferences and Congresses in Poland, we count on fruitful cooperation and, of course, we wish you successful congresses and conferences in central Poland.

Mazovia Convention Bureau was established in 2019 and one of its goals was to cooperate and complement the business tourism offer of Warsaw. This is achieved thanks to close cooperation with the Warsaw Convention Bureau – said Izabela Stelmańska, adding – Today we are implementing the next step of this common path, signing an agreement for the implementation of the Warsaw and Mazovia Congress Ambassador Club, building a joint conference and congress offer. Thank you for this opportunity.

The signing of this agreement is unprecedented, but it is a natural course of events for the city and region to cooperate. We wish everyone to establish such a relationship, then the brand of Poland, for which we all work, will be more recognizable and grow stronger. – said Mateusz Czerwiński after signing the document.

The agreement was signed based on the newly created document of the AKP Programme Strategy for 2024-2030. The document was made available on the website www.ambasadorkongresow.pl and assumes increasing the recognition of the Program among representatives of the academic world, especially in the so-called second-choice cities. It also indicates the strengthening of local Ambassador Clubs and the creation of new ones, especially in regions, aimed at intensifying activities at the regional level. An integral element of the strategy is also the promotion of the role of Convention Bureaux and their cooperation with Ambassadors in the process of acquiring events.
