Practical information – TOURIST VOUCHER IN POLAND

The Polish Tourist Voucher is a tool that aims to financially support both Polish families and the tourism industry, weakened by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

While the voucher can partially support consumers and managers of accommodation facilities, it cannot support other entrepreneurs. There were opinions that the beneficiaries would be offices specializing in children's and youth recreation. However, due to the guidelines for organizing summer camps, many offices emphasized at the beginning of the holidays that this year was lost for them and were canceling previously planned events.

In the original version of the project, which was presented last year by Deputy Minister of Development Andrzej Gut-Mostowy, the vouchers were a tool of the state's social policy, they were to be an element of social tourism, and therefore also support for people who cannot afford to travel. Today, it is the sector that needs help more than the consumer. - PLN 3.5 billion, because according to the announcements, this is how much this program is to cost, could be allocated for additional support for the industry, in this difficult time of transformation.

The bill is currently still being processed in the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.
