Growing interest in Warsaw's tourist offer among Norwegian tour operators
The Warsaw Tourism Organization once again participated in one of Norway's most important industry events – Travel Match. This year's edition, held in Oslo, was a key element of the strategy to strengthen the Polish capital's presence in Nordic markets.
This event, designed as a professional B2B workshop, facilitated a series of face-to-face discussions with key players in the Norwegian tourism sector. The agenda was dominated by discussions with tour operators, travel agents, and industry media representatives seeking new, stable, and attractive destinations for their clients.
Interest in Warsaw during Travel Match went beyond standard inquiries about sightseeing options. Discussions focused on specific logistics solutions, accommodation options, and offerings combining leisure tourism with the MICE sector. Norwegian partners increasingly perceive Warsaw as a modern city that effectively combines high-quality services with unique cultural and culinary experiences.
Analysis of the meetings conducted indicates a very positive image of the capital in Scandinavia. Warsaw is rated as a safe, diverse, and well-connected destination, which, in the current market situation, constitutes a significant competitive advantage. Many inquiries concerned the premium segment and city breaks, confirming that the city's offerings meet the needs of discerning customers from northern Europe.
Participation in Travel Match generated valuable new business contacts and provided up-to-date information on trends in the Norwegian market. The experience gained and specific requests for proposals will serve as the basis for further promotional activities aimed at increasing the number of Norwegian tourists visiting the capital in the coming seasons. A successful presence in Oslo is another step in building a strong brand for Warsaw internationally.
