The season of Warsaw Tourist Lines begins
From May 1st, Warsaw returns to the rails, water, and trails. Warsaw Tourist Lines is launching a full program of attractions. In the new season, visiting Warsaw is no longer a formulaic experience—it's transformed into an experience that combines history, views, and the pure pleasure of discovering the city.
As every year, the retro trams attract the most attention. Line 36, with cars from the 1960s and 1970s, runs through the city center all the way to Narutowicz Square. There's also the summer line T – the oldest trams in the collection, which appear only in summer. This isn't a stylized attraction, but an authentic journey through the city's history.
Bus 100 is also back on the streets – one of the easiest routes for exploring Warsaw. A single trip covers the Old Town, Praga, and the Vistula River and Łazienki districts.
The Vistula River season begins simultaneously. Free ferries will connect both banks of the river. Cruises on the "Kopernik" are a new addition, while the "Zefir," as every year, will take passengers on a full-day trip to Serock, with views of Zegrze Reservoir and a stopover. It's worth remembering that some attractions on the Vistula River depend on water levels – updates are published regularly.
The season also kicks off with a slew of events. On the evening of May 1st, an open-air cinema opens on Poniatówka Beach. The program includes "Miś" and "Galimatias, czyli kogel-mogel II," along with deckchairs, popcorn, and a view of the Vistula River. A simple plan for the May Day weekend, admission is free.
For those who want to venture a bit further, there's a classic – the narrow-gauge railway in Piaseczno. This several-hour route, with a stop in Runowo and a chance for a walk in the forest, is one of the easiest ways to get out of the city without traveling far.
The Warsaw Tourist Lines season will run until September 20, with the busiest times during the summer holidays. It's worth checking regularly for current schedules and details. https://www.wtp.waw.pl/
