Meeting regarding stopover travel in Warsaw

At the initiative of PLL LOT, a working meeting was held devoted to the topic of stopover travel in Warsaw.

The idea of the stopover offer was born in 2018, during a meeting between PLL LOT and the Warsaw Tourism Organization. After consultations with the association members, the first ideas for packages that could be implemented in transit travel through Warsaw were created.

Among the projects for managing free time there were culinary offers – lunch in a restaurant and cultural ones – visits to museums and sightseeing tours around Warsaw.

All of them were to be implemented in cooperation with members who declared their participation in the project.

The issue of selecting the operator, which will cooperate with PLL LOT via the platform, remains to be agreed. www.lot.com would sell the developed offers.

In the last stage of joint work on the project – in December 2019 – PLL LOT informed about the need to select an operator in accordance with the procedures in force at PLL LOT.

The year 2020 made it impossible to successfully implement the project.

This idea of stopover travel, extended with stay offers (1-3 days) in Warsaw was revisited today during a meeting in which, in addition to POT representatives (Director of the Strategy and Marketing Department at POT – Teresa Buczak, Deputy Director of DSiM – Magdalena Krucz), the following also took part: Sales Director at PLL LOT – Mr. Robert Andrzejczyk, Sales Office Director at PHH – Mr. Tomasz Zubek and the WOT management board.

The next meeting is scheduled for April 16, 2021.
