Meeting "Tourism in the new reality - how cities and regions prepare to emerge from the crisis, cooperation, good practices"
At the invitation of the Kraków Chamber of Tourism, WOT President Barbara Tutak took part in a meeting entitled "Tourism in the new reality: how cities and regions prepare to emerge from the crisis, cooperation, good practices".
In his short In her speech she drew attention to on the current activities of the Warsaw Tourist Organisation, which include: shifting accents from marketing, networking and knowledge sharing to information exchange, support and relevant marketing to a changing reality.
She also pointed out good practices, which belong to cooperation with the municipal LOT, the city and the Mazovian Regional Tourism Organisation. She spoke about the activities carried out in cooperation with the Foreign Centres of the Polish Tourism Organisation and about the planned activities in campaigns addressed to the selected foreign market, consumers from the domestic market and a joint action with members of the Warsaw Tourism Organisation. She also mentioned the document signed by President Rafał Trzaskowski "Tourist Policy of the Capital City of Warsaw".
She pointed out that current reality became a motive for even better and more intensive observation changing environment, which requires the appropriate development of new offers and new tools. It is necessary to constantly provide content about the destination, because this is the only way to maintain interest in the destination. She emphasized the excellent preparation on the supply side. In terms of MICE tourism she spoke about events that, despite being moved in time, are still being planned organize in Warsaw.
It is not known what the structure of the industry will be after the crisis, nor is it known what tourism will be like, but I appeal for solidarity and mutual support, as well as coherent information based on scientific arguments. – she concluded.
