Meeting of the Warsaw Congress Ambassador Club

The Warsaw Tourism Organization, in cooperation with the Association "Conferences and Congresses in Poland", the Event Industry Forum and EXPO XXI organized on 23.01.2019 meeting Warsaw Congress Ambassador ClubThe aim of the meeting was to promote knowledge about the possibilities and good practices of acquiring congress events for the city. The main recipients of the event were representatives of universities and scientific institutions, who are current and potential members of the Club.

In the first part, Grzegorz Wolf, Deputy Director of the Economic Development Office, talked about the city's plans for acquiring events of this type and about the possibilities of supporting these processes. Then, short speeches were given by Janusz Samel, Director of the Sports and Recreation Office of the Warsaw City Hall, Mark Krawczyński, representative of Rotary International, Prof. Józef Modelski from the Warsaw University of Technology, Anna Górska from EXPO XXI, Andrzej Hulewicz, Vice President of Mazurkas Travel, Zbigniew Kowal, President of Global Congress and Piotr Wiklak from PLL LOT. All speakers talked about the possibilities of acquiring events for Poland and Warsaw using examples from their industries. The program ended with a panel with representatives of hotel and congress facilities in Warsaw, devoted to the topic of cooperation with facilities in acquiring and implementing large congress events.

– We are proud that such a large group of representatives of the scientific world participated in the meeting of the Warsaw Congress Ambassador Club – says Mateusz Czerwiński, Vice President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Tourism Organization. – This shows the willingness to make an effort to promote the city on the international stage and to acquire events for Warsaw. This is an extremely important step for us due to the nature of events organized by associations, where the activity of representatives of the local community plays such a large role in the entire process.
