Meeting with the President of ZUS regarding new regulations for entrepreneurs
After the Sejm passed a package of laws called the Polish Deal, regulations changing the current situation and obligations of entrepreneurs will come into force at the beginning of the new calendar year. In connection with this, on November 24, 2021, we took part in the 29th meeting of the Entrepreneurs' Council at the Ombudsman for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, during which the President of ZUS Gertruda Uścińska and her team discussed changes in the rules for settling health insurance contributions effective from January 1, 2022.
The most important changes discussed included:
- change of rules for determining the contribution rate,
- introducing an exemption from the obligation to have health insurance for entrepreneurs who are also in an employment relationship,
- change in the principle of determining the multiple of the contribution or
- principles of financing the employer's contribution from wages resulting from illegal employment and undisclosed wages.
