The capital will host the 17th European Sociological Association Conference in 2026
We are pleased to announce that Warsaw has been selected to host the 17th European Sociological Association (ESA) Conference, which will take place from August 25–28, 2026. This is the first time in the history of this prestigious event that it will be held in the Polish capital!
The conference will attract over 3,000 participants from across Europe and beyond. The conference will take place on the campuses of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and the University of Warsaw, with accompanying events planned in unique locations across the capital, including the Palace of Culture and Science and Torwar.
Our organization proudly supported the visit of a delegation from the ESA Management Board to Warsaw, organized as part of the preparations for the conference. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase the conference's potential, modern infrastructure, and visit the planned event locations.
We are delighted to be co-creating this event in collaboration with the ESA 2026 Local Organizing Committee and the Warsaw academic community. We are confident that the ESA 2026 Conference will not only contribute to the development of scientific dialogue in Europe but also strengthen Warsaw's image as a dynamic and welcoming city for international meetings.
