Study tour and workshops for the industry from Germany and Austria
From September 29 to October 3, 2023, we are hosting a group of 20 German and Austrian tour operators in Warsaw as part of a study visit. The visit is combined with BUY POLAND industry workshops organized by POT.
We organized a ceremonial welcome dinner for our guests in the restaurant Academy.
Tour operators have already visited Żelazowa Wola, Sanniki and Brochów, places associated with the Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin.
They visited, among others: Royal Baths, Old Town, Royal Castle, POLIN Museum.
They will learn about the kitchen during two workshops: Polish Vodka Museum will learn how to prepare tinctures, and in Warsaw Culinary University will learn how to make dumplings.
On October 2, workshops were held with representatives of Polish agencies dealing with incoming tourism.
The incoming market from Germany is important – not only for Warsaw – for two reasons. The first is the high tourist activity of Germans and a good position in the statistics of arrivals to Warsaw (for many years now). The second reason is the expenses. During tourist trips, Germans like to learn, visit and taste the delicacies of local dishes, for which they save their budgets.
We therefore hope that thanks to the presentation of Warsaw's offers, the level of arrivals from Germany will remain at the current level or increase and that the interest of Austrians, especially seniors, in our capital will increase, and Austria will find a significant place among the countries visiting Poland and Warsaw.
