WTM 2022 in London

On November 7-9, 2022, for the first time since before the pandemic, we took part in the WTM trade fair in London. This year's edition of one of the largest tourism events in the world was held under the slogan "The Future of Travel Starts Now".

At the stand organized by the Polish Tourism Organization, there were 16 exhibitors from Poland. Among them were representatives of cities and regions (Łódź, Kraków and the Malopolska Province, Lublin and the Lublin Province, Poznań, Bydgoszcz, Sopot and the West Pomeranian Province) as well as tour operators and DMCs: including Furnel Travel and Convention. Representatives of the Polish tourism industry were officially welcomed at the stand by the Polish Ambassador in London – Piotr Wilczek. On the first evening, a ceremonial meeting for exhibitors was also held at the Embassy.

The attendance at the fair was widely believed to be significantly higher than last year's edition, which was still subject to restrictions related to COVID-19. As the Warsaw Tourism Organization, we had the opportunity to hold many promising meetings with British tour operators looking for new ideas and inspiration for developing their product. Many of them also concerned proposals for joint promotional activities and ideas for cooperation. We believe that they will strengthen the image of Warsaw as a very interesting and diverse tourist destination.
