Warsaw is increasingly rated better by tourists! The latest report confirms the capital's growing attractiveness.
The City of Warsaw has published its latest report on the opinion survey of tourists visiting the capital between May and October 2025. The results are clear – Warsaw was rated significantly better than a year earlier.
Better ratings for the city
The number of positive opinions about Warsaw's attractiveness increased from 58% to 66%. At the same time, the percentage of negative opinions decreased from 11% to just 5%. This indicates that more and more visitors perceive the capital as a place worth visiting, and their overall experiences are becoming increasingly positive.
Tourists spend more
Foreign tourists (excluding Polish diaspora) spent on average:
- 1,780 PLN for accommodation,
- 1,577 PLN for other expenses.
The expenses of this group increased by 7% compared to 2024, which indicates an increasing willingness to use the city’s accommodation, gastronomic, cultural and recreational offers.
The average length of stay in 2025 was 4 days.
More and more families and luxury accommodations
The share of people traveling with families increased by 6 percentage points year-on-year.
Almost 60% foreign tourists chose 4- and 5-star hotels, which shows interest in the premium segment.
More than half of the guests booked accommodation through popular portals such as Booking, HRS, Trivago and Expedia.
Independent travel planning is the dominant trend among tourists visiting Warsaw.
Until 84% tourists prepared their trip independently, without the support of travel agencies. This trend demonstrates the growing confidence and awareness of visitors who are easily taking advantage of the city's rich and accessible offerings.
Events are attracting more and more people
The study also confirms the growing role of events in travel decisions. Concerts, festivals, and sporting events are becoming key draws for tourists. One in four people attended an event during their stay, and for one in ten, attending a cultural event was a reason for coming to Warsaw.
We are proud that Warsaw has been awarded as the Best MICE & Leisure Capital in Europe 2026, which additionally strengthens its position on the map of European metropolises.
