Warsaw to host ISPRS Geospatial Week 2027
Once again, Warsaw joins the ranks of world metropolises hosting the most important scientific events – on September 19–24, 2027, the capital of Poland will be the host ISPRS Geospatial Week (GSW) 2027, a prestigious conference on geoinformatics, photogrammetry and remote sensing. The event will attract approximately 1,000 experts, scientists and practitioners from around the world.
ISPRS Geospatial Week, organized every two years by International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), is a unique platform for exchanging knowledge and experience. The extensive program includes a series of specialized workshops prepared by both ISPRS working groups and international scientific and industry institutions. This is where new ideas, partnerships, and research and development projects are born, having a real impact on the development of geospatial technologies.
The hosts of the event in Warsaw will be:
- Polish Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (PTFiT)
- Association of Polish Surveyors (SGP)
A professional congress office also provides strong organizational support for the conference. PCO Symposium Cracoviense. The Polish candidacy was presented at the 2025 GSW in Dubai. Dr. Krzysztof Bakuła, professor at the Warsaw University of Technology and President of the Polish Society of Physicians and Technicians, who, after being elected, said:

Prof. Waldemar Walo, President of SGP and Polish Congress Ambassador, emphasizes the importance of this success:

The conference focuses on photogrammetry, remote sensing, and GIS as tools for delivering geospatial information—critical to modern technologies and industry. Its mission is not only to integrate the ISPRS community but also to demonstrate the interdisciplinary nature of these fields and their growing importance in science and the economy.
The Polish Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, founded in 1930 and affiliated with ISPRS from the very beginning, is an active representative of Polish specialists in this field. Currently operating within the SGP framework, PTFiT continues to serve as the official voice of Polish photogrammetrists and remote sensing experts internationally.
In 2027, Warsaw will become a global center of geospatial innovation, combining science, business and the passion for discovery in one place.
