Warsaw at FITUR 2022 in Madrid

From 19 to 23 January 2022 we participated in the annual FITUR fair in Madrid.

After last year's event was moved to May, a month less popular with Spaniards, the organizers decided to return to the traditional January date, which seemed to improve attendance a bit. The fact that the previously mandatory COVID tests were replaced with the European Vaccination Certificate was also significant, making entry to the venue much easier. The fair once again took place under sanitary conditions.

Eleven entities presented themselves at the 112.5-meter stand organized by the Polish Tourist Organization: among the cities, apart from Warsaw, there were representatives of Poznań, Wrocław/Lower Silesia, Lublin, Kraków and Małopolska, as well as tour operators: Furnel, Mazurkas (WOT members) and Come2Poland, Mazovian Travel, Poland Tour and Vengo.

Although it is hard to talk about previous attendance, interest not only in the fair itself, but also in Poland, seemed to be improving. The Polish National Stand enjoyed noticeably greater interest among the surrounding destinations. Visitors were certainly attracted by its attractive appearance, which did not escape the attention of the event organizers - this year Poland was awarded the prize for the best stand.

The image benefits of being present at the fair are now all the more important because, due to the restrictions still in force, European destinations will continue to enjoy the greatest popularity among Spaniards. Among the visitors to the Warsaw stand were many people who had already been to Krakow or Gdansk, among others, but having seen the good quality of the Polish tourist offer, they would gladly consider returning to get to know the capital better. We are also counting on cooperation with PLL LOT and POT in organizing the next fam trip planned for Poland this year.
