Warsaw at IMTM in Tel Aviv

On March 29-30, together with the Warsaw Tourism Office, we represented Warsaw at the IMTM trade fair in Tel Aviv. It was the first edition of this trade fair after a two-year break caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The stand organized by the Polish Tourist Organization was also attended by representatives of local and regional tourist organizations from Krakow, Tarnów and Małopolska, Gdansk and the Pomeranian Voivodeship, Wroclaw and the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, and Lodz. The incoming tourism industry was represented by Furnel Travel, Mazurkas Travel, and Poland Tour. Among the exhibitors from the hotel industry was also Hotel Bristol.

The Polish presentation at the fair was preceded by a meeting of industry representatives with a PR agency supporting the Polish Tourism Organization in the promotion of Polish tourism on the local market. During a short description of the Israeli market, which took place during the meeting, it was possible to learn about the consumer behavior of tourists from Israel, such as the frequency of travel, preferred destinations, budget requirements or the already well-known passion for shopping.

Tourists from Israel are ready to resume foreign travel, which they have missed during the last two years of the pandemic. Statistically, they travel up to 4 to 5 times a year, usually for a few days, which is related to, among other things, the large number of holidays. Since the pandemic, more and more previously inaccessible countries, such as the UAE and Morocco, are opening up to the Israeli market.

After the fair, another meeting was held, this time with representatives of the local industry, during which we had the opportunity to present Warsaw and the WOT membership offer, as well as to give stay vouchers to the winners of the business card lottery. Following the promotional activities to date, a press visit to Warsaw for representatives of the leading local media is planned, which will take place immediately after Easter.
