Warsaw at ANTOR workshops in Norway

From 30.08 to 02.09.2021, we were present at the networking workshops for the Norwegian industry ANTOR, organized by ASB Consult, the organizer of events such as TravelMatch Norway, in which we participated online in April 2021.

Workshops with representatives of local travel agencies and tour operators were held every day in a different one of the 4 cities: Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim and Oslo. In addition to WOT and the Foreign Centre of the Polish Tourist Organisation in Stockholm, the Polish delegation included representatives of tourist organisations from Poznań and Gdańsk, as well as the travel agencies Furnel and Jan-Pol. Such a large representation from our country certainly sends a signal to the Norwegian industry about Poland's readiness to welcome tourists from their market.

Norwegians are already very eager to travel abroad, and with restrictions around more exotic destinations, they naturally focus on closer trips in Europe. The Polish tourist offer was most often met with enthusiasm, and although the Tri-City and Krakow have long been present in the minds of travel organizers, the image of a modern, green and diverse Warsaw was met with positive surprise by visitors to our stand, looking for new and safe destinations for their clients.

Through activities such as the previously mentioned TravelMatch online, last year’s workshop for V4 countries or the upcoming PATA workshop in Denmark, we are trying to gradually develop the inbound tourism sector to Warsaw in this representative market.
