Warsaw at the "Discover Central Europe" workshop

On September 21–22, 2022, we were present at the “Discover Central Europ” networking workshops, a joint promotional initiative of the national tourism boards of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.

This year's event meetings were held in two cities: Oslo and Stockholm. They consisted of table talks with representatives of local travel agencies and tour operators. The turnout was good and visitors expressed interest in Warsaw - especially in Oslo. However, the most popular Polish cities among Norwegians and Swedes remain Gdańsk and Kraków, among others due to a more extensive network of connections.

In addition to WOT and the Polish Tourist Organisation's Foreign Centre in Stockholm, the Polish delegation included representatives of tourist organisations from Poznań and Kraków, as well as travel agencies Jan-Pol and Furnel and the Marriott hotel chain. It is encouraging that such a large representation from our country sends a signal to the Norwegian and Swedish industries about Poland's readiness to welcome tourists from their markets.

Additionally, every evening a lottery was prepared for the guests – thanks to the involvement of our members and LOT Polish Airlines, we had the opportunity to create one weekend package to Warsaw in each city.

We would like to thank our members for donating vouchers during the lottery!
