Warsaw in yellow warning zone
Due to the increased number of COVID-19 cases among residents, based on the decision of the Ministry of Health, Warsaw is in the yellow warning zone. Below we present detailed information on what restrictions will be introduced in the city and how we are prepared to fight COVID-19.
Yellow Zone – Key Safety Rules
In accordance with the currently applicable government guidelines We are obliged to remain in force until further notice wearing a mask in public spaces, but also on the street and, among others:
– in public transport (e.g. bus, tram, metro train);
– in a passenger car – if we are travelling with someone we do not live with on a daily basis;
– in a shop, shopping mall, bank, market and post office;
– in the cinema and theatre;
– at the doctor’s, in a clinic, in a hospital, massage and tattoo parlor;
– in church, school, and university;
– in the office (if we go there to handle a matter) and other public buildings.
Where do you not need to cover your mouth and nose?
– in a restaurant or bar – when we sit at the table and eat or drink;
– at work – if you don’t have contact with outsiders
– while in the forest;
– when consuming meals or drinks after taking a seat on a train covered by mandatory seat reservation, including meals and drinks served on board the train (WARS carriage).
Persons who cannot cover their mouth or nose due to:
– pervasive developmental disorders, mental disorders, moderate, severe or profound intellectual disabilities;
– difficulty covering or uncovering the mouth or nose by yourself.
The restrictions announced today by the government will apply to Warsaw residents from next Saturday, October 10. In enclosed spaces where cultural events are held and in cinemas, a limit of 25 percent of the audience applies.
The restrictions also apply to limiting the number of people attending special events: in the yellow zone up to 75 – these restrictions will come into force from October 17.
There will still be a limit on the number of participants in gatherings. It can be a maximum of 150 people. Participants must cover their mouths and noses and maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 m from other people. Additionally, a distance of at least 100 m must be maintained between gatherings.
