Warsaw in the red zone

From 17th OctoberWiththe capital of the city will beę in the red zone. This means further restrictions and changes regardingandfunctioning of public transport, schoolsł, squareaboutcommercial or assembly organizationsń and sporting events.

On Thursday, October 15th the government announced new safety rules and expanded the list of counties and cities in the red zone – Warsaw was also on it.

In the red zone the following will apply: safety rules:

  • 5 people per 1 cash register in retail outlets (from Saturday, October 17),
  • ban on organizing special events - weddings, consolations and others (from Monday, October 19),
  • no more than 1 person per 7 m2 during religious ceremonies,
  • a maximum of 10 people can participate in public gatherings,
  • In higher education and secondary schools, distance learning is mandatory (excluding practical classes).

In addition (as in the yellow zone):

  • restaurants open from 6:00 to 21:00. Only every other table is occupied. After 21:00 only takeaway meals,
  • in public transport, 50% of seats or 30% of all seats may be occupied,
  • sporting events without public participation,
  • in cultural events, max. 25 percent of seats occupied by the audience,
  • the operation of swimming pools, aqua parks and gyms is suspended.
