Warsaw strengthens its position in the Michelin Guide!
The selection of establishments distinguished by the world-famous and respected Michelin Guide has ended. Based on verification and assessments by inspectors, 6 restaurants were awarded prestigious "stars", 16 received the Bib Gourmand title, and as many as 54 were included in recommendations.
Under the agreement signed by the Polish Tourism Organisation with the famous Michelin Guide, Gdańsk and the Pomeranian Voivodeship join the Polish regions already present in this prestigious publication, represented by the provincial cities of Warsaw, Kraków and Poznań!
The guide has grown significantly, reflecting Poland’s rapidly developing food scene and the immense talent of its chefs. Inspectors across Poland have been impressed by the passion shown by the country’s restaurants, led by a new wave of young chefs.
The most exciting news from this year's announcement is that Poland has 3 new MICHELIN-starred restaurants. They are scattered across the country, showing the breadth of the Polish food scene. We are even more proud because Warsaw has a new MICHELIN-starred restaurant – Break 20, which is part of the portfolio of a member of our association – Ferment Group. Overseen by chef Bartosz Szymczak, the restaurant impressed MICHELIN inspectors with the way it has evolved and matured over the past few years.
The Michelin Guide has been around since 1900 and is considered the world's most important culinary guide. It is number one in terms of sales, history and reputation.
We would like to congratulate all restaurateurs on their enormous success.
