Warsaw will shine again!
The upcoming Christmas and New Year period means the return of one of the most anticipated attractions of the capital – the winter illuminations. This year, just like last season, Warsaw streets will shine with retro-style decorations that will take residents and tourists on a journey to the 1950s and 1960s.
Decorations referring to those times will remind us of iconic baubles, Christmas tree lights, crystals from grandma's cupboards, as well as relics of those years, such as saturators, shop scales or telephones with a dial. Special illuminations in the shape of retro carousels and toys have been prepared for the youngest.
There will also be the main attraction – a 27-meter multimedia Christmas tree, which will traditionally stand on Castle Square. Modern, energy-saving LEDs will make the decorations ecological and at the same time delightful.
The illumination will be available to residents and guests from the beginning of December. Intensive assembly of decorations is already underway, which will transform Warsaw into a magical winter wonderland over the coming weeks.
