Warsaw Culinary in the Italian Media

The Italian media gave an exceptionally warm welcome to the culinary workshops co-organized by WOT in Rome on March 7, led by the restaurant's chef Fat Tom Sebastian Maliszewski. The event took place at the educational center Eataly and was a unique meeting of representatives of the Italian media with the bold and innovative cuisine of Warsaw, presented in its best form through traditional dishes with a modern twist. Participants had the opportunity to try their hand at being chefs under the watchful eye of our culinary experts, taking away from the workshops unique taste experiences and in-depth knowledge of the Warsaw gastronomic scene.

A comprehensive report from the event was published The Messenger, the most famous Roman daily. The articles were also published in leading Italian portals dedicated to tourism and lifestyle. They describe in detail the culinary history of the Kręglicki family and the background of the Opasły Tom restaurant, presenting the basic principles that guide its creators: locality of the product, seasonality and combining tradition with modernity.

The publications emphasize the evolution that Warsaw's culinary scene has undergone in recent years, the path of which is inextricably linked to the capital's turbulent history and the influences of other cultures. Warsaw is described as "a modern and innovative direction that tells its story through gastronomy. The deep influence of numerous ethnic groups that have inhabited it over the centuries and the heritage of knowledge and flavors make Warsaw a truly surprising destination today."

Much attention was also paid to curiosities related to the culinary offer of the capital: the diversity and class of Warsaw restaurants, cyclical culinary events and the tourist "must see" - the Polish Vodka Museum. Warsaw was described as a place friendly to vegans and vegetarians, offering a wealth of flavors for every taste.

We are convinced that the media interest in the workshops is only the beginning of our cooperation. We count on the continuation of meetings in Warsaw with the involvement of members of the Warsaw Tourist Organization.
