Workshops on preparing tourist products for Prague
Thanks to the joint initiative of the Warsaw Tourist Organization and the Office of Architecture and Spatial Planning of the Warsaw City Office, workshops were held on September 18, 2018 at the Warsaw Praga Museum, the aim of which was to create a concept of new tourist products for Warsaw's Praga. Using the cooperation of representatives of various industries and sectors (local government, cultural institutions, tour operators and organizers of tourist attractions, hotels and local associations), the workshops prepared product concepts that, on the one hand, will allow for the effective tourist development of Praga and the use of its great cultural and social potential, but which, on the other hand, will support the revitalization project conducted by the City Office and will counteract such negative phenomena as gentrification or the so-called "overtourism".
The workshops were conducted using the methodology service design, which allows for the creation of innovative products and services focused on customer experience, customer satisfaction and service optimization in line with the priorities of the organizations implementing them. During the workshops, each participant had the opportunity to share their own ideas and experiences, thanks to which creative ideas were created in the first stage of work, which in the later phase took the form of specific, named product concepts.
For WOT and the City Office, this is just the beginning of work related to the creation and promotion of new (and existing) tourist products of the revitalized Praga. The developed concepts will be subjected to implementation tests by WOT members, and then, continuously monitored and improved, they will become a permanent part of Warsaw's tourist offer.
We will soon share our product concepts with WOT members and announce the next stages of work on this project.
We invite you to cooperate and thank you for your commitment and creative ideas!
