Warsaw's business tourism results in the first half of 2023
Warsaw’s results in tourism and business in the first half of 2023 are proof of the city’s development and growing attractiveness on the international stage.
During this time, 11 MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing, Exhibitions) events were acquired in our capital, which attract many delegates to the city, generating over 7,300 overnight stays. The estimated value of these overnight stays exceeds PLN 2,600,000, which indicates a great interest in Warsaw as a meeting and conference venue.
We are seeing a systematic increase in interest in Warsaw among international meeting planners. Thanks to our efforts, Warsaw is slowly starting to rebuild its position on the international MICE market, after the collapse caused by the pandemic and the crisis related to the war in Ukraine.
We are constantly working to accelerate this process. In the first half of 2023, the Warsaw Convention Bureau has undertaken many initiatives aimed at promoting Warsaw as a place for business events and conferences.
For example, we took part in IMEX 2023, one of the world’s most important fairs for the meetings and incentive travel industry. Participating in this event allowed us to promote Warsaw on the international stage and establish contacts with key decision-makers from the MICE industry.
Additionally, during the European Laryngological Society (ELS) congress in Milan, which took place from 8 to 10 May 2023, we promoted Warsaw as the venue for the future ELS congress in 2025.

We also actively participated in the Academy of International Business (AIB) conference at SGH. We had a stand with materials promoting Warsaw and informing participants about its attractions.
In addition, we were involved in the organization of the 19th European AIDS Conference (#EACS2023), scheduled for October 18-21, 2023 in Warsaw, where we provided support to the organizers.
We are constantly active on social media, including LinkedIn, where we publish the latest offers from our members, promote events we are partners of, such as the Warsaw Students' Neurosurgical International Conference, and share information about our activities.
We are convinced that the dynamic development of Warsaw as a place for MICE events is visible and appreciated in the international arena. We believe that our activities will contribute to even greater interest in Warsaw and to rebuilding its position as one of the leading places for meetings and conferences in Europe.
