XXV Consultation Forum of Integrated Territorial Investments of Warsaw Functional Area

On June 17, 2020, we took part in the 25th Consultation Forum of Integrated Territorial Investments of the Warsaw Functional Area, a working meeting of the Warsaw City Hall and the municipalities and counties of the Warsaw Metropolitan Area.

During the video conference, we presented how several dozen local government units cooperating with Warsaw can effectively conduct their tourism marketing using the activities, tools and industry synergy offered by the Warsaw Tourism Organization. Using the example of many years of WOT experience, we discussed such advantages of cooperation between business and local government as, among others, transparent combination of promotional funds of cities, municipalities or counties and local entrepreneurs. During the meeting, we also emphasized the important role of domestic demand, especially micro-travel and weekend trips, which will shape the Polish tourism market to a decisive extent in the coming months. We presented the growing interest in regional tourist attractions among Polish consumers as an additional factor in favor of building strong cooperation between metropolitan municipalities and counties under the umbrella of WOT. We hope that the group of members of our organization will soon expand to include local government units neighboring Warsaw.
