Invitation to visit the capital's museums
Warsaw museums, closed for many weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic, are once again welcoming visitors. The Warsaw Uprising Museum reopened this week. Tomorrow, the Museum of Modern Art will reopen after a break, and in the second half of the month, the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum (June 16) and the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews (June 26) are planning to reopen.
Despite the defreezing of subsequent segments of the economy, the situation in tourism is still far from clear optimism. The most difficult thing seems to be breaking the psychological barrier in people who have long been convinced of the need to exercise extreme caution. For the safety of guests and staff, institutions are introducing new rules for visiting, and opening hours are also changing. Additional safeguards have appeared - disinfectants and plastic partitions. And although Warsaw museums have implemented the recommended safety rules, they are still not recording a large increase in visits.
The new rules for visiting are announced on boards and banners developed together with us, and detailed regulations can be found on the websites of individual institutions. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with their content.
Our priority is to help the members of the association. Therefore, among the many activities we undertake on their behalf, there is a new promotional campaign aimed at supporting institutions that have opened their doors to visitors.
On June 3, marked cars drove out onto the streets of Warsaw, from which an invitation was broadcast through megaphones to Warsaw residents and guests visiting our city. On June 5, the campaign will start again. We strongly believe that it will bring the intended effects, and if so, we will continue it in the following days.
In this unusual way, we encourage you to spend time in one of the selected museums.
Therefore, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the regulations and maintain an appropriate distance when visiting the museum. It is obvious that it is best to do this after work.
Together with us in the action participate:
National Museum, Royal Łazienki Museum, Dollhouse Museum, Museum of Life in the Polish People's Republic, World of Illusions Museum, Polish Vodka Museum
The campaign will also be promoted under the following hashtags: #visitmuseumafterwork #visit, support #suremuseum
