Sabat Theatre by Małgorzata Potocka

Sabat Theatre - located in the heart of the capital, was created on the model of pre-war Warsaw revue theatres such as "Qui pro quo" or "Morskie Oko". It refers to the tradition of French cabarets, Broadway and Las Vegas musical theatres. The theatre presents very popular performances with the participation of wonderful vocalists, stars of Polish stages and the famous ballet Sabat, compared to the best world ballet groups. In the halls of the former Chamber Theatre at 16 Foksal Street in Warsaw, restored with great financial and organizational effort, Małgorzata Potocka created a wonderful stage in extremely elegant Art Nouveau interiors. This season we are celebrating nineteen years of our existence. Over the course of 18 years, the Theatre has hosted many premieres, exceptional galas, and dedicated performances on the occasion of special events. All performances enjoy great popularity among viewers and critical acclaim. Sabat has become a well-known and popular place on the cultural map of the capital. We are visited not only by residents of Warsaw, but also by viewers from Poland and all over the world, famous people from the world of culture, art, politics and business. Representatives of the diplomatic corps are regular guests. Such people as Mrs. Karolina Kaczorowska - wife of President Kaczorowski, daughter of General Anders, Mr. Tadeusz Mazowiecki - Prime Minister, as well as Maria Kaczyńska and many other distinguished people, are here.

Sabat Theatre is a private theatre, whose creator and owner is MAŁGORZATA POTOCKA - director, dancer, choreographer. For the promotion of Polish culture in the country and abroad, she received the GOLDEN CROSS OF MERIT from the President of the Republic of Poland.

The performances of my Theatre, in the opinion of viewers and critics, are a great promotion of Polish culture. Music and dance are an artistic message understandable to everyone, which is why they are so attractive to international audiences.

The ballet and music show will feature a full wealth of forms: stylish scenography, modern choreography performed by the Sabat Theatre ballet ensemble, contemporary musical arrangements and songs performed by soloists. Thanks to such a broad and comprehensive presentation of the work of Polish artists of that time, we will be able to trace the development and history of Polish song. The pieces from those years, performed in new arrangements, will constitute an innovative clash with contemporary art. A fairly important element of the performances are multimedia shows, which will allow for a fuller understanding of the realities of artistic life in different periods of history.

Performances are conducted in Polish and English.
