Warsaw Convention Bureau

Warsaw Convention Bureau is responsible for promoting Warsaw as an attractive and professional meeting destination and acquiring foreign conference, congress and incentive events for Warsaw.

Since January 2014, the Warsaw Convention Bureau has been operating within the structures of the Warsaw Tourism Organization. The driving force behind the planned promotional activities is the combination of business sales discipline with the credible authority of city authorities.

The main activities of the Warsaw Convention Bureau include:

  • Active acquisition of events for Warsaw, including through work with the local scientific community and industry associations (as part of the Polish Congress Ambassador program of POT and SKKP and ongoing work), participation in the IMEX Frankfurt and IBTM World fairs, organization of study visits for meeting planners
  • Handling inquiries from foreign planners wishing to organize events in Warsaw
  • Study visit support for confirmed and potential event organizers (site inspections, fam trips)
  • Providing city promotional materials packages for conference events in Warsaw
  • Maintaining records of conference events
  • Cooperation with industry associations: ICCA, MPI, SKKP, SITE, SBE to promote Warsaw and acquire new contacts for event organizers
  • Supporting the idea of Poland Meetings Destination – an initiative aimed at bringing about changes in the Polish MICE industry, including in the law on local charges
  • Collecting and distributing knowledge about the MICE industry in Warsaw (conference facilities, event statistics)
